Term Dates

The academic year runs from the beginning of September till the end of June, with the school open from Monday to Friday. The school year is broken by the Easter/Halloween and Christmas holidays.

The Montessori Day

We have a morning class from 8.45-12.15pm and our afternoon class is 12.45-3.45pm. The day does not progress along a rigid timetable, but rather each child proceeds at his or her own pace. The course of the day’s learning is self-directed by the child. The learning environment is prepared with the specially designed Montessori materials. Children may work individually or in a group with friends. Our role is to provide acheivable challenges throughout their time at the school, so that self-esteem is nurtured and they are encouraged toward further exploration and learning.
